Located on the main street, it’s a perfect spot to explore the city. You can conveniently walk to the farmers market on Saturday, enjoy a spa bath, and find all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms are modern, spacious and spotlessly clean, equipped with fast Wi-Fi, TV, and iron. The host is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The lodge provides toiletries, hair dryer, and makeup remover cloths.

One of the units had an issue with the dishwasher and power points, but the management arranged promptly to fix the problem.

John and Jill are excellent hosts. They are quick to take care of everything you need and are very knowledgeable on the local area. The Executive Studio is spacious, modern, and comfortable with had all the amenities you could ask for. I was a solo traveler with a serious cooking habit and the kitchenette had everything I needed. Centrally located in Nelson, you are a five minute walk to great things this charming city has to offer. For the outdoors type, Abel Tasman and Kahurangi parks are less than an hour away by car where the hiking and mountain biking are EPIC! Thanks again to the lovely staff at Cedar Grove for making feel right at home.

Excellent location with close proximity to town centre, restaurants, and cafes. Facilities cleaned daily with replenishment of consumables. Welcoming hosts provided extra washing baskets and air dryers. Spacious rooms with spa bath, dishwasher, and thoughtful touches like mini cookies. Convenient for riverside walks, shops, supermarkets, and coffee shops.

The facilities are very tastefully presented and are sparkling. The owners are very welcoming upon arrival and they were very helpful with my incidental request for the loan of an umbrella when it began to rain as I was leaving to walk to the city centre. I have stayed there previously and the service is consistently very good.

Close to town and shops with spacious and modern rooms. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were well-appointed. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the free Wi-Fi was a plus.

The price was higher than expected and not worth the value. While the room had little extras like cookies and a selection of tea, it did not make up for the overall cost.

We enjoyed the company of John and Jill, their helpfulness (directions around Nelson), cleaniness of the room and motel , location was excellent (so quiet too)We would recommend Cedar Grove to our friends indeed.

Spacious, modern rooms with all the amenities you could need. Tracy, our host, was incredibly accommodating and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The location is perfect, just a short walk to shops, restaurants, and supermarkets. I highly recommend this lodge for a comfortable and convenient stay.

Spacious and clean rooms, convenient on-site parking, excellent kitchen facilities, welcoming and friendly hosts, great location near town center, daily housekeeping with replenished consumables.

The room was very comfortable, quiet (important) & non-smoking. I appreciated being able to prepare my own meals in the very well appointed kitchen, but at the same time have the convenience of having room service clean the room & clear away any dishes left on the bench. The daily cleaning and servicing of the room was excellent. The room had a large working surface to use as a desk-which was very well lit -often a real problem when having to do computer work and read documents with small print. The heater, which could be controlled by the guest was a real plus. The bed was very comfortable, with electric blanket, several pillows & easy to reach bedside light switch. The drapes, covers & carpet looked new & were pleasing & comfortable respectively. The power shower & water temperature regulator in the shower were excellent, as was the heated towel rail & the number & quality of the bath linen. The location of Cedar Grove Motor Lodge -with a short walk to a number of attractions, the main shopping area & the supermarket is pleasant & very practical.

Just one suggestion-for short people it would be useful to have a couple of chair cushions to put on the chair when working at the desk.

A lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful owners. Comvortable and warm. Great shower. Close to the town. We'll definitely recommend Cedar Grove Motor Lodge to friends and family and we will return to stay ourselves.
